Dog Show

One of the most popular activities in the park is dog walking so why not have an event for all our canine friends and their owners? Even if you don’t walk your dog in Grovelands Park, why not come along and show off your dog’s prowess at the Grovelands Park Centenary Dog Show?


Categories include (There is a maximum of 20 dogs in each class)


*   Handsomest dog prettiest bitch

*   Best Veteran (over 7 years)

*   Best Puppy (under 18 months)

*   Child & Dog partnership

*   Best Rescue

*   Most appealing small dog  (under 18”)

*   Best Waggy Tail

*   Best large dog/bitch  (over 19”)

*   Fancy dress

Complete and return to Village Vet by Thursday 16th May 2013.


Grovelands centenary Dog Show Competition Rules:-


*  Registration is £1.00 per category entered


*  Entrants do not have to be residents of N21/14/13.


*   Entrants must agree to abide by the competition rules.


*  You may register for your dog to take part in a maximum of 5 categories.


*  To guarantee entry, your registration must reach us by Thursday 16th May 2013. (This does not prevent you turning up on the day with your completed entry but spaces then may be limited).

Registration fees must be paid in full before the start of the show.



Payment in cash please. You can pay anytime between 10 and 1pm on the day of the show at the Dog Show stand.


Judging will be carried out by a panel which includes a representative of Village Vet


Judges’ decision is final, no correspondence will be entered into and prizes cannot be exchanged.


Please Note:-

Please do not bring your dog if it has been in contact with infectious disease in the last 6 weeks.

Pups under 4 months, bitches in season and anti-social dogs are ineligible for this show

The committee reserve the right to refuse entry


The competition is being sponsored by Village Vets.


Enfield Chace Dog Training Club will be putting on an dog obedience display
Sunday 11am and 12:30pm

Promoting “Good Dog practices” for both dog and owner
After the display they will hold a Question & Answer session
Get the answer to your questions on good dog behaviour : What is it? How can you achieve it?
And there will be a chance to meet the dogs and the trainers.
